Is there a lodgment confirmation from the ATO when lodging via LodgeiT?
When a form’s status in LodgeiT shows "Lodged," it means the form has been successfully submitted to the ATO. Unlike ELS, LodgeiT does not provide a separate validation report through the Standard Business Reporting (SBR) system. However, LodgeiT can trace any SBR interaction and supply the interaction data for investigation if needed
Processing Time by the ATO:
Standard Processing Time: The ATO aims to process most electronically lodged forms within 12 business days.
Delays: For complex forms or those requiring additional checks, processing may take longer. In some cases, delays can extend up to 28 days for certain client types or due to system updates.
How long does lodgment usually take, especially for BAS?
Lodgment is a background process that can vary significantly depending on the form type. It can take about 1 hour, but in some cases, it may take up to one or two weeks for the lodgment to appear as lodged in the ATO systems.
