If you are having trouble signing in to LodgeiT because your Authenticator verification code is not working or appears to be incorrect, the issue may be related to your:
A. Device's time settings
B. Having multiple LodgeiT accounts in your Authenticator app
A. Check Your Device's Date and Time
Authenticator codes are time-based. If the date or time on the device where your Authenticator app is installed is incorrect, the verification code may not work.
Even a difference of around 30 seconds can cause authentication issues.
What to do:
- Check that the date, time, and time zone on your phone are correct.
- Enable Automatic date and time and Automatic time zone, if available.
- Make sure your phone is connected to the internet.
- Close and reopen your Authenticator app.
- Generate a new verification code and try signing in again.
Tip: Do not rely on manually setting the time. Using your device's automatic date and time settings helps ensure your Authenticator code stays synchronised.
2. Check for Multiple LodgeiT Accounts in Your Authenticator App
If you have more than one LodgeiT account added to your Authenticator app, it can be easy to select the verification code for the wrong account.
What to do:
- Open your Authenticator app.
- Check the list of accounts displayed.
- Look for the LodgeiT account associated with the email address you are currently using to sign in.
- Make sure you are entering the 6-digit code from the correct LodgeiT account.
- If you have multiple LodgeiT entries and are unsure which one belongs to your current account,
Important: Do not delete an Authenticator account if you are unsure which one is associated with your LodgeiT account.
